Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP) successfully organized its 35th Parliamentary Visit to the Parliament House of Pakistan in November, providing members with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the country’s parliamentary system, democratic institutions, and constitutional journey.
The visit was designed as an enriching educational experience, enabling youth delegates to deepen their understanding of parliamentary processes, democratic governance, constitutional development, and the role of elected representatives in Pakistan.
During the visit, members explored various sections of the Parliament House, including the Constitution Gallery, where they learned about the historical development and evolution of the Constitution of Pakistan. The delegation also visited the Parliamentary Museum, where participants received an informative briefing on the structure, functioning, history, and significance of Pakistan’s national legislature.
A key highlight of the visit was the opportunity for youth delegates to interact with distinguished parliamentarians, including Mir Jamal Khan Raisani, Sher Afzal Marwat, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar, and other respected members of Parliament. These interactions provided participants with valuable perspectives on parliamentary affairs, public service, leadership, and democratic participation.
The 35th Parliamentary Visit served as an important platform for youth civic education and leadership development, encouraging young people to better understand democratic institutions and inspiring them to contribute actively to Pakistan’s future as informed, responsible, and engaged citizens. 🇵🇰
