Our Origin
Established on August 12, 2016, in commemoration of International Youth Day, Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP) stands as a beacon of youthful aspiration and advocacy. Founded by the visionary young leader and activist Muhammad Abubakar, PYP was conceived with a resolute purpose: to create a vital bridge between the nation’s dynamic youth and its influential institutions. Over the years, PYP has grown into a dynamic platform that nurtures leadership skills, offers an alternative space for aspiring leaders, and paves the way for young voices to resonate in the corridors of power.
At the heart of PYP’s mission lies a commitment to narrowing the gap between the youth and policy makers, empowering young minds with practical leadership and governance experience. As a staunch advocate for human rights, policy development, and youth opportunities, PYP champions the cause of the unheard and strives to amplify the voices of those who seek positive change in our society.
Our doors are open to individuals from 14 to 35 years of age, inviting them to become valued members of Pakistan Youth Parliament. Recognized and accredited by the Government of Pakistan, PYP equips young leaders and change-makers with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to make a lasting impact on their nation’s future.
