Lahore, February 16, 2026: The Pakistan Youth Parliament (PYP) successfully organized a high-profile national conference titled “Youth: The Driving Force for Pakistan’s Future” at the Jinnah Auditorium, Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI). The event brought together distinguished dignitaries, youth leaders, and students from across the country to highlight the vital role of young people in shaping Pakistan’s future.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. In his welcome address, the President of Pakistan Youth Parliament reaffirmed PYP’s commitment to empowering young people through leadership development, civic engagement, national integration, and meaningful youth participation.
The conference featured an insightful keynote address by Sajid Habib, Former Director General Air Intelligence, who emphasized the importance of discipline, patriotism, informed participation, and responsible leadership in contributing to national progress.
Renowned actor, director, writer, and former Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Arts, Culture and Communication Shahzad Nawaz addressed the gathering on the transformative potential of creative industries and youth-driven narratives in strengthening Pakistan’s cultural identity and building a positive image of the country globally.
The closing address was delivered by Chief Guest Qasim Khan, Former Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, who also administered the oath to the newly inducted members of Pakistan Youth Parliament. He appreciated PYP’s efforts to nurture responsible, informed, and engaged young leaders, while encouraging participants to uphold the principles of integrity, public service, constitutional awareness, and responsible citizenship.
Vice President LCCI Khurram Lodhi also expressed his appreciation to the distinguished guests and participants in his closing remarks, acknowledging the importance of initiatives that provide young people with opportunities for leadership, learning, and civic engagement.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates and awards among outstanding members, followed by a group photograph and a networking session over refreshments.
Through this conference, Pakistan Youth Parliament reaffirmed its resolve to provide meaningful platforms for youth engagement, leadership grooming, civic responsibility, and national service, contributing toward a more informed, responsible, and empowered generation of young Pakistanis. 🇵🇰
